Your Role

You will be based in Hamburg, Germany and will report directly to the Compliance Director, EMEA. This position is responsible for supporting ADM's Compliance program in Europe, Middle East, Africa & Asia (EMEA) and assisting with the implementation and support of other commercial compliance objectives in the region. Commercial compliance focus areas in the region include Competition Law Compliance, Anti-corruption, Trade Compliance, Privacy, Code of Business Conduct, Conflicts of Interest, Anti-Money Laundering and related areas.


  • Provide guidance on matters relating to Anti-Corruption, Data Privacy, Trade Sanctions, Antitrust/Competition Law Compliance, Anti-Money Laundering, and Conflicts of Interests in accordance with applicable laws and company policies
  • Work closely with the regional EMEA managers as well as the local management teams to ensure Compliance aspects of the business strategy are addressed in a timely and compliant manner
  • Provide counsel and coordinate the implementation of local policies to ensure compliance with local legislation and alignment with corporate policies
  • Conducting internal investigations and Compliance Trainings

  • Law degree with the completion of the first legal state examination or LLM or equivalent suitable degree
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in Law or Compliance
  • Proven track record of experience with Compliance in an international company is strongly preferred
  • Experience in the areas of Anti-trust/ Competition Law, export control, and/or corruption prevention is strongly preferred
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and proficiency in French is a plus
  • Excellent communication skills and negotiating skills
  • Willingness to work in our Hamburg office (3 days per week and 2 days remote)
