Right now, we are looking for our Production Manager for our facility in Ostfriesland. This is a newly created position. Here your key objective will be to further develop productivity without jeopardizing safety and quality. You will have 5 team leads working with you and your production will be operating with 3 shifts. You will report directly to our Factory Manager BTO, Ralf Kelling.
In this position, you will be a vital part of our organization in Ostfriesland and an integrated part of our Global Operations.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Ensuring that defined processes are followed in the entire production. Both production processes as well as all other like safety, quality, administration etc.
- Manage, lead and develop direct reports to perform individually and as a team.
- Promote a positive collaboration with all other departments in Baettr, ensuring cross functional working in Baettr Ostfriesland.
- Ensure that plans made by the production planning department are fulfilled to ensure customer deliveries
- Harmonize capacities of main production areas, so that an optimal flow of material throughout production is ensured
- Ensuring competences are developed according to needs thereby creating flexibility in the main production areas (molding, melting, post cast treatment)
- Engineering background (Bachelor degree or equivalent)
- Minimum 10 years' practical experience within production and management
- Preferably 5 years' experience producing large iron castings items.
- Balanced leadership skills
- Theoretical skillset and experience eg building up a strong 5S program
- Focused on time schedules, resources and agreed timelines.
- Fluent in German and a good working knowledge of English.
