flaconi is one of Germany's leading online beauty retailers. Our online shop's portfolio offers more than 850 international brands and 55.000 products in the categories of perfume, skin care, make-up, hair care, natural cosmetics and accessories, covering from drugstore to organic to premium products.
flaconi was founded in 2011 and has a team of over 700 employees working from three locations: Our HQ in Berlin-Charlottenburg, our logistics center in Halle and our concept store in Berlin-Mitte. We are also represented in Austria and Poland.
Our Assortment Team for the Fragrance category ensures that we have the best in class products to offer to our customers in our webshop and app. We are looking for a (Junior) Purchasing Manager, to join our team of six. In this position, you will have the opportunity to develop; your analytical and stakeholder management skills and gain a deep understanding of the beauty industry by managing your own suppliers and performing market research to identify opportunities.
What you can expect in this role
- Support in operational supplier management tasks within the fragrance category and schedule, plan, hold and follow up on supplier meetings
- Also, you will keep your portfolio's performance in check by doing regular analysis of KPIs in close cooperation with our Category Manager and your direct manager
- Hold annual talks with your suppliers and negotiate; ensuring the best terms & conditions possible
- Act as interface between supplier and our internal stakeholders, such as the Retail Media, Master Data Management or Supply Chain Management team for inquiries
- With your interest in beauty, you stay up to date in terms of new brands and trends in the fragrance category and after evaluating their fit to flaconi, you onboard new brands into our webshop & app
- Relevant years of experience in purchasing, ideally in an e-commerce environment. Experience in the beauty industry is a plus!
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills in English and German
- A good understanding of negotiations and the wish to develop your negotiation skills further
- You enjoy working with numbers and would like to develop your analytical skills further
- A structured and detail oriented working style
- A problem solving abilities and flexible mindset, especially when handling suppliers requests
- Full transparency: For this role, we have a salary band between 40,000€ and 51,000€ gross per year for Junior position and between 50,000€ and 65,000€ for a mid-level position. The salary that we will offer you will always be within this span and is based on the skills that you show during the recruitment process
