SALES MANAGER – GERMANY & AUSTRIA

Heading market development and new bizz sales in Germany and Austria for a successful Danish distributor in quality DIY-, Garden- and BBQ-products.

Millarco is 100 % Danish-owned, and the company behind many successful brands in the DIY retail business. Millarco has for many consecutive years proven to be among the most important DIY distributors in the Nordic region, respected for a wide range of quality consumer-friendly products at a competitive price level. Millarco offers a large scale of products in tools, hardware, garden tools and barbecue equipment for the DIY market, working together with DIY and building chains, tool stores, wholesalers and special stores.

Based on Millarco's success in the Nordic region, and several new and market-relevant products, the timing is perfect for further development of new markets in Europe. Being already established in some of the biggest DIY – and barbeque chains in Germany, Millarco has proven that great potential lies ahead for scaling the business to new heights.


As new Sales Manager you will be given a unique opportunity in building, heading and developing the German and Austrian market, especially focusing on the successful Cozze brand – and you will have a dedicated and experienced Germany focused set-up in Denmark supporting you.​

The headline for the position as the new Sales Manager in Germany & Austria will be focused on new business. You will be given the full commercial responsibility for targeting and building the German and Austrian markets.

We expect you to further define the sales strategy, based on the initiatives already established by the CCO and the Key Account Manager in Germany. You are expected to segment the target DIY and retail customers and develop customers, build market share and build numbers.​

To succeed in growing sales and expanding the German and Austrian markets we believe you should:

  • Analyze and utilize the potential of the market and develop a short, sharp and scalable action plan in collaboration with the CCO and the German Key Account Manager​
  • Impact the markets with well-planned, independent and targeted sales work, selling the Millarco concepts to new customers​
  • Share knowledge and learnings with the Sales Management in Denmark and interact with the sales team to learn and improve​
  • Continue to identify market potential and potential leads along your sales raids around Germany and Austria​
  • Manage your pipeline, create overview, ensure a healthy sales flow and conversion rates for continuous growth in your activities​
  • Repeat the winning recipe with an eager and positive attitude and fight for new customers and every percentage you can gain​
  • Join the sales team in Denmark in sales meetings and participate in international trade fairs to maintain, ensure and develop a strong relationship with customers

We believe that you need to have the following profile to succeed as Sales Manager in Millarco.

However, if you can't tick all boxes but feel the passion for the Millarco journey in Germany and you have a proven market development track record in retail, we will surely listen to you.

  • You have experience in sales focusing on the German and Asutrian retail/DIY market​
  • You are experienced in sales to professional buyers, preferably based on retail concept sales or similar long-term sales processes​
  • If you have retail chain/FMCG experience or other chain insight it might be a benefit – but most important is your combination of an unstoppable sales drive and the patience and understanding of project sales, creating benefit for both you and the customer​
  • You can handle an entire revenue stream from defining the market, planning and executing lead generation, pipeline and closing​
  • You define yourself as an eager hunter sales manager profile more than a corporate sales leader​
  • You speak/write German and English (and maybe a third language) at business/negotiation level and you thrive in working from home office and doing several sales days on-the-road​
