Messer Medical Home Care Holding (MMHCH) is a leading provider of respiratory homecare therapy services with a strong international presence headquartered in Germany. We are offering our expertise and services to over 70000 patients and physicians on a daily basis across major markets in Europe (Germany (HMP), France (Messer Medical Home Care France), Austria (Messer Medical Austria), Belgium (Oxysphair) and others.

For our finance team we are searching an experienced Finance Specialist with a focus on reporting and consolidation. The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of intercompany transactions as well as regulatory compliance and is enthusiastic about working in an international environment in holding structures. For his key role strong English and German language communications skills are required and a keen interest in analysing and interpreting financial data.


Financial Reporting, Consolidation and Analysis:
• Lead the consolidation of financial statements for the group, ensuring timely and accurate reporting
• Contribute to monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidated financial reports, providing insights and analysis to senior management; Oversee the preparation and review of consolidated financial statements, ensuring compliance with IFRS and other relevant accounting standards
• Coordinate with local finance teams to ensure consistent and accurate reporting across all entities; Manage intercompany eliminations and reconciliation processes to ensure accuracy and completeness of consolidated data
• Analyze financial results, identifying trends, variances, and potential risks to the business
• Support the budgeting and forecasting process, ensuring that consolidated financial data is accurate and aligns with company objectives. Advise the local finance teams on the accounting processing of mergers and acquisitions and ensure they are reflected correctly in the consolidated accounts


Compliance and Audit Support:
• Ensure that all financial reporting is in compliance with relevant regulations, including IFRS and local GAAP
• Serve as the primary contact for external auditors at group level during the audit process, providing necessary documentation and explanations. Support local finance teams in their local audit process
• Oversee the implementation of any audit recommendations related to consolidation and financial reporting


Process Improvement:
• Continuously evaluate and improve consolidation processes and systems to increase efficiency and accuracy
• Implement best practices in financial reporting and consolidation, ensuring alignment with industry standards
• Provide training and support to local finance teams on consolidation processes and financial reporting requirements


Stakeholder Management:
• Collaborate with various stakeholders, including finance, operations, and senior management, to ensure alignment on financial reporting objectives
• Communicate complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders in a clear and concise manner


• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field as a minimum; advanced degree or professional certification is preferred
• Experience in financial consolidation and reporting, ideally within a multinational organization
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and other relevant accounting standards
• Proficiency in financial consolidation software and advanced Excel skill
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a high level of attention to detail
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams


Personal skills

• English and German language skills. Knowledge of French is a plus
