In the "Factory Planning" Center, we are already describing the production of tomorrow by being responsible for all new factories and conversions for Mercedes Benz Cars Operations (MO) as well as Research & Development and Headquarters at the Sindelfingen and Stuttgart.

Our team consists of 17 motivated and friendly employees who look forward to your commitment. We are responsible for the coordination and implementation of difficult technical and overall layout planning for all production plants and facilities beside production. We are also responsible for managing the use of funds throughout the entire factory planning process. The allocation of funds management ensures the short- and long-term achievement of our ambitious targets. In this context, we work across all departments as well as the relevant stakeholders from controlling.

With us, you will be responsible for the area of resource management in factory planning. Therefore, you will be the contact person for the entire department to steer and control the funds of our center.

The following topics are the main task:

  • Preparation of the results for the factory planning and production planning management team and derivation of recommendations for action, as well as their coordination with the relevant stakeholders as well as support in the decision-making process
  • Responsibility for the further development of processes in the company's environment and the introduction and implementation of ideas for the optimization and digitalization of the processes and reportings
  • Control of the procurement steering committee (structural projects) in a production planning overarching responsibility and ensure compliance with the associated guidelines
  • Ensuring the overall project controlling for factory planning, as well as the scope of factory planning in our partner areas of production planning and future projects
  • Independent planning, coordination, control and cross-functional coordination of the use of funds by all FP departments in compliance with economic specifications and contractual regulations
  • Link between the different departments, the controlling departments, accounting, purchasing, facility management, the project departments and other participants (e.g. development) within the scope of service
  • Creation of high-quality decision-making documents for management, structured reporting and the application of the documentation and control systems used

Ideally, you should fulfil these requirements:

  • You have completed a technical or commercial degree or comparable training with relevant professional experience
  • You already have experience in resource management and project controlling
  • Ideally you have gained professional experience in project controlling for large-scale and construction projects
  • You have experience in working collaboratively with various stakeholders
  • You are able to keep a cool head and make decisions even in critical situations

The following traits/skills are of further advantage:

  • You are communicative and have no inhibitions about approaching new colleagues
  • You put your entrepreneurial and strategic thinking and actions in the foreground and be able to interact with your stakeholders in both English and German
