Our department, Process Development Drive Systems (PT/PPTE), is responsible for the development of production and testing processes for conventional and electric powertrain.The team "End-of-Line Testing Technology and Virtual Methods“ develops new, innovative testing methods to ensure the quality of our series production. Together with our supplier network, we design and industrialize innovative testing solutions, for example to check the NVH/noise and leakage requirements for electric drives for our global production network. If you are part of our team, you will take responsibility for sub-projects as well as diverse and exciting projects in close collaboration with our development and global production teams.
These challenges await you:
- Development and planning of new or improved testing methods (e.g. NVH, leak testing with considering of constraints (e.g., cycle time, feasibility, impact on components and properties)
- Independently working, planning, and executing tests on an experimental and statistical basis (with internally and externally partners)
- Creating specifications and testing regulations for test methods (e.g. NVH, leak testing) for in-house and purchased parts in collaboration with development and pilot factory, as well as performing measurement/process capability verifications as well as commissioning and acceptance of test benches
- Deriving design and material proposals for production-oriented product design and creating technical specifications for the procurement of test equipment
- Target group-oriented documentation, preparation, and interpretation of investigation results in collaboration with development, quality, and production departments (focus: large-scale production), as well as presenting in reporting committees to facilitate decisions
Ideally, you qualify for this job with:
- Completed studies (Bachelor/Master/Diploma) in the fields of Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Process Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Mechatronics, Physics, or a comparable field with a corresponding focus
- Experience in statistics, statistical experimental design/DOE/Six Sigma, machine and process capability studies (MFU, PFU, cp, cpk, cm, cmk) and evaluation
- Ideally experience in leak testing with air/test gases or acoustic/vibrations
- Knowledge of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, vibration theory and measurement and control technology
- Knowledge of the design of gearboxes or electric drives, HV batteries, and common manufacturing processes (e.g. die casting, forming technology, joining techniques such as gluing, welding)
- Proficient in German and English
- You are both a communicative team player and capable of working in a structured and creative manner to develop solutions
- You are enthusiastic about technical solutions and enjoy actively shaping the future
