Our focus is on the efficient planning and control of all Mercedes-Benz transports. More specifically, your future department manages all finished vehicle transports from our production plants into the world directly to our customers. We thus contribute directly to a positive customer experience-environmentally friendly, digital, Mercedes-Benz-like.

As part of the "Digitization and Sustainability of the Transport Network" team, you will prepare the green course of our worldwide ship, train, truck and aircraft transport. Your mission: Make our transports more sustainable with fresh ideas, energy and your know-how.

The following exciting activities await you:

  • Drive carbon reduction: Enable worldwide transport logistics to minimize our carbon footprint-entirely in line with our Ambition 2039
  • Strategy with vision: Keep our sustainability strategy up to date-Regular adaptation to international legislation, technological progress and market changes
  • Working in a network: Active communication and collaboration with suppliers to promote and implement sustainable transport methods
  • Lead pilot projects: Be creative and bold by creating pilot projects that pave the way for green transport solutions
  • Communication skills: Use your communication skills to inspire both internally and externally
  • Make successes visible: Keep an eye on the key sustainability figures through standardized reporting
  • Share knowledge: Pass on your know-how and inspire us and our logistics partners to make sustainability a central part of their work

We are loking for a sustainability manager who enriches our team with passion and expertise. Ideally, you bring the following skills and experience:

  • Logistics meets Green Thinking: You have rocked your studies with a focus on logistics, environmental science, sustainability management or something similar-in other words, you shine through a solid understanding of logistics processes and sustainability knowledge
  • Experience that counts: You have already breathed logistics air through practical experience and not only seen sustainability projects, but also helped shape them
  • Analytical strength: Complex issues? No problem for you! You can summarize and explain difficult coherences clearly and understandably
  • Bridge builder: You recognizing social, political and economic developments and know how to integrat them into our corporate strategy and daily business
  • Pioneer in the project jungle: Even if the path is not paved - you remain calm, think in a solution-oriented manner and courageously find the trail to the destination
  • Teamplayer: You are a communication talent and connect with stakeholders at all levels-from team colleagues to the board member, from the USA to China. And, talking to external partners is more of an opportunity than a challenge
