Hydro Precision Tubing is technology leader in the business and serves the global market from 17 locations across Asia, Europe and America. The European market is covered from the Danish entity, consisting of four locations in South Denmark, close to the German border, employing a total of 450 employees.

The automotive business is experiencing a massive change. Being the main segment for Hydro Aluminium Precision Tubing the impact is clear. There is a growing need for scaling the business by building new customers. Your main target is to execute new business development: building relations, scaling your network, market development initiatives and direct sales activities towards the main OEMs and Tier 1s in the automotive business.

The product range and market needs are developing rapidly alongside the transformation of the automotive industry. The Hydro Precision Tubing automotive team possesses a unique market insight and extensive product experience. New initiatives and products have been formed and implemented and the Hydro aluminium products of today are more relevant than ever in the automotive industry of tomorrow. Re-thinking solutions and saving weight across both structural, electrical and heat-transfer products offer unique opportunities for the automotive industry – and for Hydro.


As the new Business Development Manager for Hydro Precision Tubing you will focus mainly on business development towards new potential customers. You will impact the market and build your network with targeted sales initiatives, presenting the Hydro concept and products within structural parts to relevant network and new potential customers in Europe.

You will take advantage of your OEM network and bring Hydro products into the market in new areas across many structural elements in automotive. You will ensure a healthy sales flow and continuous growth in your activities, alongside enhancing and building on top on your insight and network in the automotive business.


In short, to succeed you are expected to identify and establish contacts with potential customers in Germany and Europe within structural products – and open doors at the OEMs and Tier1s.

  • Proven track record and experience from successful sales and/or technical network in the automotive business, particularly within the OEM segment – and a great advantage if you have insight from the areas of structural parts.

  • Profound insight in international project sales to professional buyers in OEM and/or Tier 1 channels and experience with a complex and technical sales process.

  • A focused balance between Business Development and project sales. Succeeding with new potential customers is a motivation, yet you thrive in the elements of long-term quality sales

  • Eagerness, ambitions and can-do-attitude

  • Strong negotiation skills, a professional sales toolbox and good understanding of complex contract terms

  • You speak/write German and English at negotiation level


  • Workplace: Germany / remote / travelling – with activities all over Europe, primarily in South Germany. We expect you to be present in Tønder min. average 2 days/month (and full time in the first month)

  • Workload: As much as it takes to succeed – however you master your own plan and time

  • Travelling: some travelling needed, depending on your home base. Might be +50 days/year
