Unit description

BTO will drive security of supply, energy transition, organizational and financial health through digital, data and analytics. BTO will secure solid foundations through seamless end-user services (UX), industry-leading cybersecurity setup and resilient data centers and cloud infrastructure. BTO will have consistent business/BTO alignment, strategic partnerships with vendors and clear standards on architecture, vendor & portfolio management and security. BTO will unlock value of data and digital by building all the necessary enablers (incl. data platform, data governance processes, capabilities) and embedding innovation initiatives into business roadmaps.
TenneT is growing fast to realize its strategic ambitions. We play a leading role in driving the energy transition. We are looking for a passionate Business Analyst (m/w/d) at our locations Bayreuth or Lehrte who will contribute to this. That might be you?

Frame conditions

  • Desired start date: as early as possible
  • The weekly working time is 37 hours
  • The position is limited until 31.01.2026
  • Job interviews for this position will be (partly) in English

  • Identifies improvement initiatives and solutions and manages their implementation within IT systems and business processes
  • Understands business needs and opportunities, including a good understanding of business risk, impact on the IT systems and ability to perform and communicate assessments and feasibility studies
  • Manages work estimation and planning of analytical activities which may include team resourcing, project timeframes and scope of projects
  • Develops and executes plans delegated by managers through reporting and status updates
  • Creates business cases for new or existing ventures the business or IT is considering
  • Analyses and writes requirements for new IT systems, prepares tenders and evaluates tender offers and acts as a bridge between software developers and business colleagues by coordinating Deployments and Testings of software versions
  • Supports in Business Analysis in migration projects

  • Academic working and thinking level with at least 3 years of experience as a business analyst
  • Demonstrable process and IT knowledge in the area of system operations or market processes in energy sector
  • Relevant certificates and trainings, e. g. BiSL, BABOK, IREB, Prince2, Scrum
  • Good knowledge of German and English language (C1 minimum)
