To strengthen our team at the location in Leinfelden-Echterdingen (near Stuttgart) we are looking for an Audio Engineer(m/f/d) with immediate effect.


  • As an Audio Engineer you are responsible for the design, development, application and testing of any audio product as part of the next generation of automotive and other audio systems.
  • The role of an Audio Engineer requires a close cooperation with experts from different areas such as audio system architecture, hardware architecture, software architecture, DSP and other domain experts.
  • Support the local sound strategy and develop future oriented, state of the art solutions for audio and processing of audio within the automotive E/E and other architectures.
  • Ensure robustness, performance, and safety aspects within the audio domain.
  • Install and tune automotive and other audio and sound systems and evaluate the audio quality.
  • Drive technical requirements and clarification with stakeholders within Alps Alpine, Automotive OEM and hard and software suppliers.
  • Support technical presentations and workshops with customers during the quotation phase and development.
  • Support selection and management of sound branding partners.

  • University degree in Audio, Acoustics or Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or similar with extensive experience in audio technology
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience developing sound products, preferred but not mandatory for automotive (sound processing, amplifiers, speakers)
  • Several years of experience in sound tuning of demonstration and production vehicles
  • Excellent audio listening, judgement and comparison skills
  • Deep connection into the audio industry, for technology and partnerships
  • Experience in usage and improvement of A-SPICE, ISO 26262 and IATF 16949 processes
  • Experience in Audio tuning tools like Audio Weaver, LabView and in Redmine, svn
  • Good command of English & German, written and spoken
  • Excellent communication and good presentation skills
