We are looking for a Lead Global Category Manager (m/f/d) to join our Procurement Team at INNIO Jenbacher. The Lead Global Category Manager (m/f/d) is a key role within the INNIO Direct Material Procurement Team which will have responsibilities for direct material categories. The successful candidate will have sound technical and commercial experience from working within a high value product environment (production and development).

Your Responsibilities:
  • Develop and lead INNIO Procurement strategies for direct material categories
  • Drive Procurement initiatives which consistently provide an improved cost position including best cost country supplier selection, improved productivity & rationalization of supply base
  • Understand and drive for procurement solutions which meet both business compliance and sustainability commitments
  • Drive for supplier lead time reduction, on-time delivery and quality improvements
  • Interface with INNIO internal business leaders and functional owners to validate procurement strategies and reach approval
  • Proactively support project leaders in NPI (=New Product Introductions). Drive for the achievement of procurement related product requirements (e.g. Target costs etc.)

Your Profile:
  • Very good working experience in strategic procurement, supply chain or a technical role within an international company operating in a relevant industry to INNIO
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical or business management related discipline or relevant work based experience
  • An excellent technical aptitude, complemented by strong business acumen, as well as influencing, negotiation and facilitating skills
  • Knowledge of reciprocating engines and/or the power generation sector
  • Experienced in full life cycle project management of projects (including strategy development)
  • Strong customer service mindset with ability to improve internal customer relationships
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Team player mentality with a continuous improvement mindset
  • Fluent in German and English (oral and written)
  • Experienced with the use of all Microsoft Office applications with an advanced level in Microsoft Excel
  • Willingness to travel at least 20% of the time to our global supply base

The base pay is composed of the amount according to the Austrian collective agreement which is at least EUR 4.112,78 gross per month (x14) and an over payment depending on your qualifications and experience.View More
