Your new employer

Our client, an international company, well renowned in its industry, is currently searching for Head of M&A. Successful Candidate will be responsible for leading and managing the company's M&A strategy and activities. This includes identifying potential acquisition targets, conducting due diligence, negotiating terms, and overseeing the integration of acquired companies.

We are looking for a Mergers and Acquisitions Head (m/f/d) across all Germany.


Strategic planning & sourcing:

  • Develop and implement the company's M&A strategy in alignment with the overall business objectives.
  • Identify and evaluate potential acquisition targets and partnership opportunities.
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to support strategic decision-making.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, consultants, and industry contacts to source potential deals.

Due diligence:

  • Lead the due diligence process, including financial, operational, legal, and regulatory reviews.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external advisors to ensure thorough evaluation of potential transactions.
  • Assess risks and opportunities associated with potential deals.

Deal Structuring and Integration Planning:

  • Lead negotiations with target companies and external advisors.
  • Develop and present deal proposals and recommendations to the executive team.
  • Develop and implement integration plans for acquired companies.
  • Manage the integration process to ensure a smooth transition of synergies.

Post-merger integration:

  • Monitor post-merger performance and implement necessary adjustments.
  • Prepare detailed reports for the senior management and board.

  • MBA, Bachelor's, or similar degree in finance, business, economics, or a related field
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in M&A, corporate development, or related fields
  • Proven track record of successfully leading and executing complex M&A transactions
  • Strong experience in due diligence, financial modeling, valuation, and negotiation.
  • Fluent English, German would be a plus
  • Excellent analytical and strategic thinking skills
