Working Student (m/f/d) in the field of Chemical Product Development - limited until 28.02.2025

Your role as a working student (m/f/d) in chemical product development will be to actively support the re-search and development teams and other specialist departments in product development for wet chemical surface metallization. You will play an active role in planning and conducting experiments and evaluating and analyzing the results, in cooperation with other departments if necessary. In addition, you will support our team in the maintenance of laboratory equipment and chemicals. You will be part of an experienced devel-opment team based in Berlin-Moabit. As an important part of our research team, you will contribute signifi-cantly to the introduction of new innovative solutions and new processes for the electronics industry.

Your responsibility

  • Support with routine tasks in the development of wet-chemical processes for the metallization of printed circuit boards
  • Support in planning experiments, analyzing and preparing process baths and carrying out test series
  • Evaluation of the tests, for example through cross-section preparation, microscopy, pull-off tests, conductivity measurements and material science analyses of the layers
  • Maintaining chemicals management, including monitoring chemical stocks and placing repeat orders
  • Supporting equipment management (maintenance, calibration, servicing)
  • Ensuring compliance with HSE (health, safety & environment) standards and tidiness in the laboratory

  • Enrolled student in a technical and scientific field of study, e.g. materials science, physics, mechanical engineering, surface technology, chemical engineering, chemistry, pharmacy
  • You have an excellent command of written and spoken English
  • You are proficient in common office applications and tools such as Microsoft Office and are not afraid to familiarize yourself with new programs
  • You work independently, in a structured and pragmatic manner and are quick on the uptake
  • Working hours: by arrangement or at least 15 max. 20 hours per week (full-time also possible during the lecture-free period)

  • German language is a plus
