Our Chemical Engineering team in Gelsenkirchen is looking for you! As the technical enabler for all decarbonisation projects, green customer solutions and security of supply topics within Uniper, our engineering department is responsible for the entire technical concept development and engineering design in close cooperation with the responsible business lines and partners. We offer the opportunity to become part of a highly qualified engineering team.

  • Finding and applying technical solutions for the implementation of our growth projects with a special focus on production plants for electricity-based sustainable fuels such as Sustainable Aviation Fuels (SAF) or e-methanol
  • Technical support and project management for our plant engineering projects, starting with technical concept development in project identification with our business lines, through the FEED phases to project execution
  • Independent technical coordination of process technology within interdisciplinary project teams, as well as with external partners and suppliers. This requires a willingness to take a holistic, interdisciplinary view.
  • Creation of technical concepts, studies and tender specifications as well as monitoring of contractors

  • Completed technical studies specialising in chemical process engineering, process engineering or a comparable field of study
  • At least 8 years of professional experience in the design and planning of large-scale chemical plants, particularly interesting are plants for the production of methanol or ammonia
  • Extensive experience in project work and project management in international and multidisciplinary projects
  • Knowledge and passion in the fields of sustainable fuels / biofuels / e-fuels / power-to-liquid / hydrogen technology
  • Independent and solution-orientated way of working and excellent communication skills
  • Fluent in English and German
