Gea Group Services GmbH in Düsseldorf takes over the corporate functions of GEA AG, including areas such as corporate finance, legal and IT, which provide central services for all company divisions. The location also houses the Digital HUB and the Center of Excellence (CoE).

We are looking for experienced and motivated employees (f/m/d) for deployment in Germany for the location Düsseldorf as soon as possible.

As a key contributor, you will....

Step into the epicenter of technological innovation as the IT Strategy Office Manager, where you will serve as the trusted advisor to the Group CIO, the Vice President of IT Strategy, Architecture & Innovation, and the IT Management echelon. Your role is instrumental in steering strategic decisions and sculpting the IT strategy, from inception to execution and ongoing refinement. With your insights, our IT operating model will not only thrive but also evolve in alignment with our ambitious goals.

As the architect of crucial documentation, presentations, and decision-making papers, you will directly influence the thoughts and actions of our top management and Executive Board. Your ability to communicate effectively and market our Global IT function will elevate our organization's profile, making you an indispensable voice in the chorus that propels us towards a future where technology and strategy converge. Where will you work, support and take measures forward?

  • Aligning IT goals with burgeoning business needs by actively engaging in the IT strategy process.

  • Developing robust IT strategies that resonate with our corporate mission, leveraging the latest technological trends and digitization.

  • Shaping and advancing the GEA IT Operating Model, establishing standards for excellence.

  • Providing both strategic and operational support to IT leadership, ensuring organizational coherence.

  • Aiding our Group CIO and VP IT Strategy, Architecture & Innovation with vital management tasks, crafting executive-level presentations and reports, while managing ad-hoc requests.

  • Implementing a performance management framework to clearly measure and communicate progress, success metrics, and financials.

  • Leading IT benchmarking efforts to inform and enact strategic measures.

  • Driving the evolution of Global IT Controlling, collaborating closely with the Corporate IT Controlling department on budgeting and forecasting.

  • Amplifying the Global IT function's message through strategic communication campaigns and marketing initiatives.

  • Adopting the OKR methodology to set a clear course for achieving IT strategic goals within the Strategy, Architecture & Innovation group.

  • Organizing and orchestrating key events like townhall meetings and IT Management Events to foster community and collaboration.

  • Supporting the department across a spectrum of functions, including planning, time management, resource allocation, and financial planning.

What you should ideally bring with you:

  • Some years related work experience in a Global IT Organization

  • Strategic-oriented person with experience in supporting the IT/digital strategy

  • Some sort of experience with organizational Change-Management and Communication Campaigns

  • Ability and affinity for conceptual development and design of top management presentations and decision-memos

  • Strong and effective communication skills with internal and external stakeholders

  • Fluent in English and ideally also in German
