Postdoc Position for System Modelling
for a physicist or engineer for the development of computational models of engineering components.
- Responsibility for developing computational models of engineering components (such as magnet system, power balance, etc.) to be used in integrated Stellarator reactor studies
- Active involvement and support of Stellarator reactor studies, e.g. through interface specification
- Publication and communication of scientific results
- As the IPP is committed to talent management, the supervision of PhDs and students is considered an integral part of scientific work
- PhD in the field of physics or engineering
- Advanced knowledge / skills in programming and code development
- Experience in working with complex code frameworks
- Experience in surrogate modelling is beneficial
- Fundamental knowledge in magnetic confinement fusion is beneficial
- An excellent command of written and spoken English
