IT Business Technology Group Director (m/f/d)

We are looking for an exceptional Director, IT Business Partner (f/m/d) who can lead the charge in driving IT strategy, collaboration, and innovation across our MSD organization (Material Solutions Division) in our office situation in Berlin (germany, hybrid mode). You will play a pivotal role in shaping the technology landscape for our dynamic organization and you will report to our Senior IT Group director.

How You Will Make an Impact :

  • Collaborate with senior executives in each division to manage stakeholder expectations, identify, qualify, and implement technology solutions aligned with business strategy and objectives.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations, ensuring seamless IT planning and delivery in support of key initiatives.
  • Shape the technology strategy for each division, developing forward-thinking IT strategies and roadmaps. Create compelling business-aligned implementation plans and agile delivery methodologies to drive faster time to business value.
  • Align priorities and forecast budgets for the IT portfolio to divisional strategies.
  • Provide insights that shape business strategies and ensure optimal alignment with IT capabilities.
  • Drive global IT and business collaboration by engaging with MKS Instruments' global network.
  • Promote modern solutions and keep business stakeholders informed about emerging IT products and services.
  • Oversee vendor selection, financial management, and performance for each division's IT portfolio.
  • Act as the lead negotiator and manage direct relationships with supplier executive teams.

  • Minimum of a bachelor's degree; preferably, a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields. An advanced degree in sciences, business administration, or IT is advantageous.
  • A relevant and significant experience in Information Technology, with an established leadership role in an IT customer-facing capacity.
  • In-depth knowledge of leading technology trends and best practices within the industry. Familiarity with key processes within the relevant business area (e.g.: Manufacturing, Engineering, Supply Chain) and regulations governing the industry.
  • Exceptional presentation skills, demonstrating the ability to influence and interface effectively at all levels, including senior leadership.
  • Proven experience in organizational change management, issues & conflict resolution, and business-technology innovation.
  • Up to 15% travel required based on business needs, experience working with globally distributed teams, especially in EU, India, Japan.
  • Broad awareness of business and IT capabilities, with hands-on experience implementing functional area-specific applications.
  • The role is hybrid.
