Database Administrator (m/f/d)

As our Database Administrator (m/f/d), you will substantially support the database systems needed for data storage, reporting and analysis.

In close alignment with the business and all IT teams, you will be accountable for the technical management, the availability and performance of the BI database landscape, which is the foundation for many applications, data exchange and dashboarding. The position serves as substantial contribution to the standardization and performance of our fast growing and expanding business.

The role will be based in Frankfurt, is full-time and hybrid.


  • Administration of the BI DBMS landscape (MS SQL Server, MS SSRS, MS SSAS, Azure SQL) with focus on the data warehouse and data exchange environment
  • Strategically develop the environment to optimize all database services
  • Optimize database user, access and connectivity management concerning security policies and usability
  • Responsible for monitoring of all relevant metrics (performance, licensing, hardware resources)
  • Main point of contact for database design standards, design tools and naming conventions
  • Part of projects with major database impact
  • Responsible for documentation

  • (Technical) University degree in information technology, business administration or appropriate equivalent
  • Experience in database management
  • Good knowledge of SQL Management Studio and T-SQL
  • Confidence in the management of common IT technology and software deployment methods and ideally enterprise architecture methods
  • Experience in requirements and process analysis
  • Experience in project management (classic and agile)
  • Good command of German and English, both written and spoken
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills
  • Strategic thinking with target-oriented approach
