The department of the IT Miles 2 Market is looking for a BI Engineer within the CoC Support Applications Team in Stuttgart. We are looking for a BI Engineer well experienced with designing and implementing BI Solutions in On-Prem and Cloud environments.
WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT
- Develop and deploy end-to-end business intelligence solutions using Microsoft Fabric, Microsoft/Azure SQL Server, Azure Data Factory, Spark, and PowerBI
- Develop the technical specifications from user stories that need to be implemented in a Lakehouse/Warehouse architecture
- Build and optimize SQL queries, Python Notebooks, stored procedures, and ETL processes to extract, transform, and integrate data from various sources
- Identify the priority of technical user stories within the sprint backlog as part of the BI development
- Develop and maintain data visualizations, reports, and dashboards using Power BI or similar reporting tools
- Monitor and troubleshoot performance issues, optimize queries, and ensure data accuracy and integrity
- Stay up to date with the latest industry trends and emerging technologies in the field of business intelligence and data analytics

THAT'S WHY YOU ARE A MATCH
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field
- Proven work experience as a BI Engineer, Software developer, or similar role, with a strong understanding of Microsoft Fabric, Synapse Data Warehouse, Microsoft SQL Server, and the Microsoft BI Stack
- Good understanding of various Data warehouse models, Lakehouse architecture, and ETL/ELT design approaches
- Experience with designing/developing ETL processes using Python, SSIS, Sql, Spark Framework, Azure Data Factory, Databricks
- Experience with building testing and executing test cases for BI development during the various phases of the BI Product Development Life Cycle
- Experience with multidimensional and tabular data models using SSAS, or Power BI Tabular Models
- Proficiency in developing interactive/self-serve reports and dashboards using Power BI or similar tools
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
