BTO will drive security of supply, energy transition, organizational and financial health through digital, data and analytics. BTO will secure solid foundations through seamless end-user services (UX), industry-leading cybersecurity setup and resilient data centers and cloud infrastructure. BTO will have consistent business/BTO alignment, strategic partnerships with vendors and clear standards on architecture, vendor & portfolio management and security. BTO will unlock value of data and digital by building all the necessary enablers (incl. data platform, data governance processes, capabilities) and embedding innovation initiatives into business roadmaps.TenneT is growing fast to realize its strategic ambitions. We are looking for a Cloud Platform Engineer to join our Digital & Data team. In this role, you will be implementing and maintaining the technical foundation of the underlying infrastructure that supports the TenneT Data Cloud Platform (PaaS). You will support our product teams by automating infrastructure and ensuring reliability directly impacts their efficiency. You will enable developers to focus on building applications rather than managing infrastructure.
Tasks & responsibilities
- Automate provisioning and management of resources
- Develop tools and scripts to automate platform operations
- Integrate monitoring and alerting systems for monitoring platform health and performance
- Optimize platform performance and efficiency
- Implement CI/CD pipelines for platform deployments
- Troubleshoots and resolves issues Maintain the containerized document controlling python application, which is deployed using Azure Kubernetes Service(AKS)
- Bachelor or higher degree in a relevant area like Computer Science from an accredited university or comparable academic qualifications
- Cloud platform proficiency: 5+ years of hands-on in Microsoft Azure cloud technologies is essential (incl. Virtual Machines, Data Lake Service)
- Several years of experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools and proficiency with Terraform is crucial for automating the provisioning and management of cloud resources
- Containerization and orchestration: proficiency in Docker and Kubernetes is important for managing containerized applications and orchestrating deployment processes; Knowledge of programming languages such as Python and scripting skills in Bash or PowerShell are also valuable
- DevOps practices: Familiarity with continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) practices, along with tools like Azure Pipelines or GitHub, is essential for streamlining development workflows
- Excellent communication skills in German (both verbally and written) is a must; English is a plus
