Our Operational Excellence team in Düsseldorf is looking for you!

  • Leading high-priority projects or programs demonstrating excellence in all typical project management dimensions e.g., scope, time, budget, risk, quality, communication, stakeholder management, etc.
  • You setup and execute a project or program for success. You apply, and tailor fit for purpose, the project approach and tools using operational excellence, agile and classical project management frameworks
  • You will be responsible for driving projects and process optimizations for value streams and end-to-end processes
  • You take the lead in driving the project through all stages of its lifecycle
  • You facilitate decisions making processes and root cause problem solving on operational and especially senior management level
  • You foster strong working relationships across the organisation and ensure appropriate stakeholder management (project internal and external) on operational level, as well as with project steering members up to L1 or even board level
  • You develop an in-depth understanding of the various business areas within Uniper and how they are connected through value streams, enabling you to build trustful relationships on eye level with the business partners
  • You'll be responsible for driving the Operational Excellence way of working forward in appointed business areas, in tight cooperation with their leadership and subject matter experts
  • You act as role model for operational excellence project management and develop, coach or mentor other team members and project managers in Uniper
  • OE Program Development:
  • Actively develop concepts and proposals to enrich the OE program
  • Drive and support strategic OE initiatives and projects
  • If relevant act as a liaison with other functions and initiatives to share knowledge and potentially intensify cooperation, e.g. Agile & Scum masters, Celonis process mining, etc.

  • You have 8 years+ experience in project management with a proven track record of successful high-complex improvement/transformation projects in dynamic environments
  • You lead various types of projects e.g., strategy implementation, performance improvements, performance management system setup, organisational restructuring, compliance, etc.
  • Knowledge and experience with Change Management concepts (e.g. ADKAR) and able to embed this naturally in the projects. Strong focus on the people side of the change
  • Experience using DMAIC, agile approaches and traditional project management methods, preferably with industry certifications (PMI, SAFE, (M)BB)
  • Up to date knowledge and experience of digital technologies (e.g. AI) and able to identify deployment opportunities. Generate interest, drive mindset and help the businesses to explore these new ways of working with them
  • Significant experience in typical management consultancy skills e.g., forming teams with different cultural background, moderating workshops, driving decisions with senior stakeholders, actively managing change curves
  • Excellent communication skills and precise messaging (verbal and written) from operational level up to Board stakeholders
  • When working in a hybrid environment the use of digital technologies is key e.g., Teams, PowerBI, Power Automate, Mural. Open minded to exploring the opportunities for implementing AI into daily workflows
  • Strong drive and a "getting things done"-attitude, to deliver projects in a challenging environment with conflicting stakeholder interests Is stress-resilience and able to cope with highly volatile workload from time to time
  • Proven experience the energy industry preferre
  • Interest in developing others, including other projects managers, as a mentor or coach
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% if project assignment requires
