Instructional Course Designer (f/m/d)


  • In your role, you will be responsible for the develop­ment and design of courses for partici­pants and trainees in accordance with National, European and Inter­national regula­tions. There­fore, you will edit and develop online learning materials as well as analyse, update and re­fine existing content.
  • You create learning experiences and environ­ments, design learning activities, assignments and assessments and create computer-based training (CBT) modules and storyboards.
  • To support our instructors, you will develop instructor-s manuals and other teaching tools. In addition, you will collabo­rate with subject mat­ter experts to design and develop course content.
  • Another task will be the manage­ment of online learning communities and the writing of scripts for video and audio content.
  • You will also train instructors, students and employees in how to use learning techno­logies. In addition, you work with technical staff to trouble­shoot problems reported by users.
  • You will report to the Head of Training & Proficiency of DFS Aviation Services.

  • You have successfully completed a bachelor-s or master-s degree in instructional design, education or a related field or have a comparable quali­fication with relevant additional quali­fications and several years of profes­sional experience.
  • At least three years of experience in instruc­tional design
  • You gained knowledge and formal quali­fications in the field of Avia-tion, Air Navigation, Air Traffic Services or experience that relates to Aviation (f.e. ATC, Pilot, Engineer).
  • Teaching or Experience as a classroom instructor at medium to large Training academies would be advantage­ous.
  • Proficiency with learning manage­ment systems (LMS), design plat­forms (f.e. InDesign) and familiarity with course manage­ment systems (f.e. Blackboard) is desirable.
  • You are familiar with current MS Office products.
  • Excellent written and oral communi­cation skills, including the ability to effectively convey technical informa­tion to non-technical colleagues and clients.
  • Very good English and German language skills at least at level C1.
