Global Category Lead (m/f/d) Strategic Purchasing / Procurement Solvents
Location: Wesel near Düsseldorf
Exciting opportunities await you – Join us and assume responsibility for the global and strategic procurement of solvents (aromatic hydrocarbons, ester solvents, aliphatics) and lead an innovative cross-divisional category team. Your tasks in detail:
- Development, coordination and implementation of global and regional procurement strategies in close cooperation with the category team in the divisions
- Conception and implementation of a value creation portfolio to ensure cost- and quality-optimized supply to the production sites
- Carrying out regional and global tenders, taking into account site-specific business requirements with the target of achieving best-cost results
- Ongoing evaluation and optimization of the supplier portfolio
- Commercial responsibility with regard to strategic suppliers at a global and regional level
- Business partnering in the divisions to identify expectations and translate them in procurement decisions
With this profile, you convince us – With your long-term experience in strategic procurement and global responsibility for chemical raw materials, preferably solvents, you will be a key player in driving our global sourcing strategies. Your other skills and competencies include:
- Completed master's, diploma or bachelor's degree in the field of economics / engineering / business chemistry or similar
- Experience in strategic procurement of alternative categories in an industrial environment is a plus
- Experience in an international and intercultural cooperation, along with very good English skills (written and spoken)
- Proven expertise in conception and implementation
- Excellent organizational understanding with a strong service and stakeholder orientation
- High degree of personal persuasiveness and results orientation coupled with target group-oriented communication skills
