The Director Finance Shared Service EMEA, India and APAC (Dir. FinSSC EMEA, India & APAC) is primarily responsible to support the business units Pumps EMEA + APAC as well as Industrial Valve with comprehensive accounting services, especially G/L accounting, processing of A/R inclusive collection management and A/P, and account reconciliation. The position drives efforts to improve the performance and efficiency of the FinSSC organization continuously, maintains full complains with SOX and Circor Policy and drives continuous improvement in close cooperation with the VP Finance Industrial and the Director Accounting and Controls of Industrial Group.
- Manage and develop the Finance Shared Service Team located in Germany, France, Italy, Sweden, Norway, India, and China to support the globally acting Business Units Pumps EMEA & APAC and Industrial Valves
- Responsible for the month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing procedure
- Draw up balance sheets according to US-GAAP
- Prepare financial statements according to Local Commercial Codes (esp. HGB)
- Manage domestic and foreign value-added tax liabilities
- Analyze and support to manage exchange rate, bad debts and insurance risks
- Supervise journal entries of business transactions
- Support forecasting and budgeting process of holding entities
- Assist in providing reporting to shareholders
- Ensure compliance of accounting procedures with internal procedures, local regulatory requirements, SOX/COSO, CIRCOR policies, and business unit policies inclusive
- Ensures 100% account reconciliation and maintaining financials and control evidence in the accounting workflow software FloQast
- Drive continuously accounting related process improvements and optimizes the cooperation of the FinSSC in India with the local Finance teams and all related stakeholders (e.g. cash collection, GRNI)
- Work closely together with the VP Finance Industrial, Director Accounting and Controls and the Controller of Circor regarding continuous improvement of compliance and controls
- Coordinate external, internal and tax audits
- Drive continuous improvement of financial processes
- Administrate contracts, including insurances, partially in close cooperation with Corporate
- Supporting company law related administrative tasks (like board resolutions)
- Degree or equivalent qualification in Finance or Accounting and preferable audit experiences
- Several years of professional and leadership experience in comparable positions
- Experience in managing a diversified team locally and remotely
- Experience in Performance Management
- Advanced knowledge of MS Office (especially Excel), modern ERP systems (SAP preferable) and communication tools
- Excellent knowledge of German and English language
