We are a small and dynamic publicly traded media group responsible for exploiting two of Germany's best-known adult lifestyle media brands on a B2B basis across all major German, Swiss and Austrian cable/satellite/IPTV/OTT operators and through direct B2C sales in select territories.
We are seeking a bilingual (German and English) Senior Finance Director comfortable with cross border inter-company experience to develop the financial well-being of the organization by providing financial projections, operating analysis and accounting services; preparing growth plans; directing staff.
Principal Job Duties
- Developing finance organizational strategies by contributing financial and accounting information, analysis, and recommendations to strategic thinking and direction;
- Establishing finance operational strategies by evaluating trends; establishing critical measurements; accumulating resources; resolving problems; implementing change.
- Maintain proper accounting records according to generally accepted accounting principles and close collaborate with external accountants and external auditors to ensure accurate accounting.
- Manage tax exemptions and obligations, especially in the areas of value added tax and double taxation:
- Ensure a timely preparation of German on consolidated financial statements according to HGB / IFRS
- Manage relationships with service providers, such as banks, tax consultants, auditors, insurance companies, financial service providers and payroll office.,
Your Profile
- a results-driven and self-motivated team player with compassion, integrity and perseverance, with a strong desire to work hands-on in a small organization
- successfully completed a degree in business administration and have several years of relevant professional experience in a managerial position in controlling, finance and accounting.
- excellent English and German language skills;
- Strong business and financial acumen, including audit, tax, reporting and risk management;
- Experienced with common accounting softwares;
- Knowledge of accounting according to HGB / IFRS;
- Comfortable working both strategically and operationally with hands-on approach;
- Love for numbers and strong eye for detail.
