We are currently hiring a Senior Deployment Engineer, working in Munich, Germany
The deployment team is responsible for the installation and integration of new platforms. During a project the senior deployment engineer is working closely with project management and taking care about all technical aspects.
- Performing software installation, configuration and integration
- Interface with customers in the early stage of the project gathering technical requirements, designing and documenting the system architecture.
- Interface with other technical teams gathering the relevant information so any issue can be resolved in accordance with the design concept.
- Testing of backup & restore procedures and failover scenarios for web servers and Oracle database servers.
- Creating deployment specifications and configurations and perform the rollout of software packages to customer systems, e.g., for software releases and updates.
- Maintaining scri pts for standardized and automated deployments.
- University degree or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 3 years' experience in Linux configuration and patching (Red Hat / CentOS) is a MUST. Along with this we also require good knowledge of virtualized systems, TCP/IP networking, SQL, PL/SQL and shell scripting.
- Experience with Ansible scripting and Kubernetes clusters is a plus.
- Experience with deployments on Kubernetes clusters is a plus.
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communications skills in English.
- Outstanding documentation skills.
- Understanding of software development projects and processes.
