Want to drive the change of mindset at ZEISS making circular economy part of daily business? In this role you will be part of the sustainability team within strategic corporate development and have the opportunity to shape the ZEISS sustainability strategy, especially with focus on circular economy. Together with the Head of Sustainability and the team you will shape the circular economy strategy for ZEISS. You will especially enhance developing a circular economy concept and transferring it into an actionable roadmap. To do this, you will be collaborating with other corporate teams and with teams in the ZEISS business segments. Furthermore, you will be supporting the reporting team by bridging the gap between the circular economy strategy and the reporting requirements under the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD).


  • an academic degree in engineering, science or management with focus on sustainability or circular economy

  • several years of working experience in the area of circular economy, e.g. as consultant or as project manager

  • first experience with relevant circular economy concepts (e.g. in sustainable product management, sustainable product development, EU Circular Economy Action Plan, Cradle-to-Cradle)

  • experience in sustainability assessment and strategies with a focus on reuse, remanufacturing and recycling technologies

  • experience with sustainability reporting and data collection in the context of circular economy especially regarding ESRS, EU Taxonomy or GRI standards

  • very strong analytical and conceptual skills as well as very good communication skills

  • the ability to work self-dependent on own projects as well as working in functional teams

  • open to occasional business trips

  • fluent written and spoken English and German
