A chance to join a highly successful private equity backed business going through an exciting phase of organic and acquisition growth. The business operates across EMEA, successfully acquiring more than five businesses over the past year with more in the pipeline, which has led to an opportunity for a Deputy Finance Director role focused on supporting the financial and operational management of the International Business Unit, particularly related to priority topics, management of issue areas and the strategic development of the function.

You will work closely with the Business Unit Finance Director alongside other members of the Finance and Operational teams, the International BU management team and Group Executive Board members. Due to the geographical spread of the business, the role can be located in various office locations or on a remote basis with travel to stakeholder meetings as required. Apply for this position as

  • Act as a senior finance leader within the regional and local finance teams instilling a performance and target driven culture
  • Oversee the preparation of analysis and presentations for executives providing transparency and insight
  • Support of operational performance management and enhancement
  • Support the BU Finance Director with a wide variety of tasks
  • Stand in for the BU Finance Director when required
  • Autonomously manage projects and initiatives covering a range of areas e.g. process and control environment improvements, finance process standardization, strategic initiatives, profitability and cost reviews, management information reporting etc.
  • Implement shareholder (private equity) and other stakeholders requirements
  • Support acquisitions and post deal integrations as required
  • Build relationships with group controlling/ group finance teams and regional/ local teams to ensure group requirements are satisfied
  • Lead group finance and BU finance strategic initiatives

Essential

  • Must be fluent in English
  • Successfully completed business studies with a focus on controlling / finance
  • Strong stakeholder management and network building
  • Strong experience in understanding and manipulating data to present clear and concise financial messages
  • Ability to drive change management/ implementation
  • Expert knowledge in visualization and the creation of management reports/ KPI dashboards
  • Extensive experience of Microsoft Office Suite such as Excel, Powerpoint etc
  • Experience of Finance IT applications e.g. SAP, Navision
  • Proactive, motivated personality with a hands-on mentality and ability to manage concurrent priorities

Desirable

  • Previous experience in multi-national corporate environments
  • Fluent in German
