We are looking for an experienced Lead DevOps Engineer with solid experience in deploying cloud infrastructures, computing and operations, as well as in developing services in the backend and/or frontend areas.
- As part of an agile development team, you will be independently responsible for designing, extending, and implementing software components and systems using modern technologies. You will consider customer requirements and applicable framework conditions.
- Through guidance, coaching, and mentoring, you will support the team in designing and implementing requirements.
- You will derive suitable solution approaches from complex problems, prepare them in a structured manner, and share the results with the team and key stakeholders.
- You will work closely with other areas, such as user experience, domain experts, and quality management, and derive functional and non-functional requirements from them.
- In the early phase of cloud service development, you will coordinate with pilot customers if necessary. Furthermore, you will coordinate with UX teams for improving user experience and with the respective product owner for functional extensions.
- Through appropriate measures such as conducting refactorings, optimizations, and architectural improvements, as well as introducing and possibly migrating to alternative solution concepts, you will continuously improve existing software components and systems and their operation in the cloud.
- You will provide technical advice within the department and across departments and represent the team's technical perspective in decision-making processes.
- You will actively contribute to the design and improvement of the agile development process and support the improvement of adjacent central development and operational processes.
- You will recognize trends and assess their significance for your own area of responsibility.
- Education: Completed degree in Information Technology or a comparable qualification.
- Personality and work style: Empathetic, communicative, open-minded, and innovative. Also analytical, independent, and goal-oriented. Furthermore, the ability to convey ideas and concepts.
- Experience and know-how: Several years of experience with complex IT cloud infrastructures as well as experience in software development in agile teams focusing on Java, Spring, SQL/No-SQL, and build systems (e.g. Gradle, Maven). Knowledge of one or more scripting languages such as Python, Bash, Typescript, as well as Infrastructure as Code tools (e.g. ARM, Bicep, Terraform, Ansible). Knowledge in the use, deployment, and monitoring of services in public clouds, especially MS Azure, is advantageous.
- Qualification: Knowledge of automation and CI/CD technologies (e.g. Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitHub/Lab, Docker) and application development (e.g. Java, Spring, SQL/No-SQL, Angular, Typescript).
- Enthusiasm: for automation and open to learning about cloud security (network, firewall, etc.).
