Targets of the position: The focus of this role is on supplier management for API and Ingredients for Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition, including selection, maintenance, performance review, international contract negotiations and development agreements, as well as working closely with key account and technician representatives from the supplier and internal stakeholders.
- You will manage the API / Ingredient supplier relationship and issues from supplier selection through product approval for new and commercialized products
- You will act as liaison between company's internal development team and company's vendor base to resolve API / Ingredient obstacles from supplier selection through drug / product application submission
- You will lead all general and business discussions held between internal departments and the vendor
- You will be responsible for Key Supplier Management of strategic important suppliers
- You will interface with other departments within company (R&D, QA / QC, Legal, Finance / Accounting EHS, Supply Chain, Local Purchasing) and provides API related information / support where necessary
- You will visit key markets, fairs and suppliers to maintain full awareness of changing conditions in the markets
- You will also conduct and support a proper process from sourcing-to-contract
- You will be involved in Market Screening, Supplier Selection and the Set-up supply agreements
- You will conduct a proper RFQ process
- You will consolidate and manager forecasts between different production sites and suppliers
- You have a successfully completed university degree in Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Biochemistry or natural sciences, alternatively a completed degree in Business administration
- You have at least 4 years of work experience in pharma or medical nutrition sourcing / procurement
- You have worked in an international Matrix driven organization and enjoy working within an intercultural team environment
- You possess in-depth understanding across medical nutrition ingredients and/or Pharmaceutical API Sourcing
- You have exposure in drug product development and raw material development
- You have a good understanding of Regulatory Processes for APIs and industry knowledge
- You bring good negotiation skills coupled with excellent written and verbal communication as well as interpersonal and consensus gathering skills
- You are solution oriented and are able to work within teams but also individually
- You are willing to travel (approx. 30 %)
- You are proficient in English and German (written & spoken)
- You offer good MS Office skills (PowerPoint, Teams Meeting, Excel)
