The Wind Farm & Turbine Control team is seeking a Wind Farm Control Specialist (m/f/d) to support with digital remote operations of wind farms all around the world. YOUR TASKS

  • 2nd level support for the topic of wind farm control and grid integration
  • Analysis of error patterns and troubleshooting
  • Supporting 1st level in troubleshooting
  • Creation of instructions for action and maintenance of knowledge databases
  • Collaboration with engineering in case of complex errors
  • Coordination and processing of fault and service requests in the ticket system
  • Parameterization of the control of wind turbines and wind farms
  • Performing updates and supporting retrofits
  • Analysis of the wind farm fleet for error clusters
  • Supporting field testing in the wind farm

  • Completed degree in electrical engineering or comparable qualification
  • Several years of practical experience in dealing with programmable logic controllers (PLC)
  • Advanced knowledge of grid integration, measurement, control and regulation technology
  • Basic knowledge of applicable grid connection guidelines
  • IT network knowledge (network analysis, firewalls, switches, subnets)
  • Knowledge of various communication protocols (e.g. Profinet, Modbus TCP)
  • Specific knowledge of Nordex Control 2 and/or Nordex Operation System is an advantage
  • Result orientation & quality awareness as well as ability to work in a team
  • Good English skills in speaking and writing are required, Spanish and or German skills can be an advantage
  • Willingness to travel occasionally (10%)
