About the team

We are looking for a Senior Program Manager to help us continuously improve and optimize our internal AFP Change Management process, generating efficiencies through processes and metrics. You will work cross functionally to gain a global vision on how we operate today and how we can improve the way we operate, leveraging on data and existing or new technology products, innovating and detecting synergies and ways AFP can benefit from solutions already existing within other organizations and partners. You will also have an overview on existing metrics, aligning and enabling one source of information, establishing proper governance mechanisms and deep dives to understand major influencing factors. This role offers an opportunity to make business-critical decisions that will operational performance, to transform the current transportation environment while influencing Senior Leadership on the direction for the Middle Mile business.
You will work in a cross functional environment with Operations, Program Development, Global Tech, Finance, Legal, Marketing, Operations, Carrier management, Network planning teams, and other organizations within Surface Transportations, to develop initiatives that will step change the way we operate. We are actively seeking a strong communicator, problem solver, comfortable solving ambiguous problems and focused on delighting our customers. You must have experience and be comfortable working with teams across all levels of the organization on a global scale.

Key job responsibilities

  • End-to-end ownership of the EU AFP Change Management process, including alignment with the corresponding NA AFP and EU ATS initiatives.
  • Create innovative solutions using data and research to address wider challenges in your organization
  • Take a big-picture approach in your analysis of business operations, driving improvements across a range of teams and organizations
  • Work alongside senior leadership to establish and prioritize improvement programs, seeing them through from start to finish
  • Design, implement and monitor metrics to track the progress and growth of our operations and programs, and to highlight issues on a timely basis, with proper governance mechanisms.
  • Align and collaborate internally and cross organization, to enable one source of information, performing in depth analysis where needed to understand major influencing factors.

A day in the life
As Senior Program Manager, you'll drive and manage the implementation of creative, data-driven change in Amazon, leading improvement projects and programs. You'll use strategic thinking to define and implement an efficient project plan.

Senior Program Managers have significant responsibilities, and you'll deal with complex challenges with creativity, innovation, and leadership. With a responsibility extending beyond process improvements, you could also contribute to improving other areas of the business, like diversity, equity, and inclusion.


  • Bachelor's degree
  • Experience in program or project management
  • Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
  • Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership

Preferred qualifications

  • Master's degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field
  • Experience leading process improvements
