Are you a master student interested in working with EU agri-food policies and extending your knowledge about EU Institutions and the decision-making process? Do you possess excellent cooperation skills and an analytical mindset? We are looking for our new Working Student Governmental Affairs (all genders) at KWS SAAT SE & Co. KGaA at our headquarter in Einbeck or our office in Berlin to join us for at least 6 months.
In this role, you will be part of the team for Strategic Communication at KWS. You will support advocacy activities and continuously monitor and analyze relevant legislative and non-legislative proposals. Specific tasks may include supporting internal coordination on advocacy and policy monitoring, organization of Institutional and stakeholders' meetings, research activities for documents, events and stakeholder visits.


  • Support in identifying and assessing relevant policies that might have an impact on KWS business
  • Support in coordinating internal alignment on the relevant policies, keeping the relevant departments informed and gathering feedback
  • Monitor relevant political trends and developments at EU level
  • Assist in the organization of Institutional and stakeholders' meetings and events
  • Maintain up-to-date internal databases and key positions
  • Administrative and logistical support in the daily management of the Governmental Affairs activities

  • Ongoing master studies in relevant fields of interest for this position, such as political science, law or agricultural studies
  • Interest in agri-food policies and politics – first professional experience is beneficial
  • Ability to build and maintain a network and engage in exchange with external stakeholders as well as colleagues working remotely
  • Very good organizational skills
  • Analytical mindset and strategic thinking
  • Open mindset, proactive approach, eager to learn
  • A very good command of English (C1) both written and spoken. A command of German is an advantage
