With a rich history dating back to 1953, CAEF stands as a pioneer in the European unification process, representing the national foundry associations from 22 countries. The foundry industry is a vital provider of solutions, contributing to the creation of castings for vehicles, machines, and renewable energy production.

  • Lead Thought Leadership: Stay at the forefront of European regulatory and industry changes. Engage in high-level discussions and forums to deepen your understanding and keep members informed about evolving policies and industry developments,
  • Forge Strategic Alliances: Establish and nurture relationships with Brussels-based partner associations and institutions. Present unified stances on common challenges to enhance credibility and representation,
  • Coordinate European-wide foundry meetings: Organize and lead European-wide foundry meetings, focusing on critical sectors such as automotive, wind energy, and general engineering. Create valuable networking opportunities and provide members with insights into industry and regulatory developments,
  • Expand Global Influence: Take charge of organizing and executing talks with decision makers, orchestrating international conferences, and making a significant impact at major trade fairs. Amplify the industry's influence on a global scale,
  • Serve as a Trusted Advisor: Become the primary contact for our member associations, offering expert support backed by comprehensive statistics. Drive industry insights through impactful surveys and publications,
  • Deliver Strategic Content: Collaborate with member associations and key stakeholders to prepare and disseminate monthly statistics, position papers, and presentations. Curate an annual survey capturing the industry's narrative, and oversee webpage and social media communication,
  • Collaborate with Leadership: Work closely with the Board, President, and future Secretary General to achieve strategic objectives and drive the association's mission forward.

  • hold a bachelor's or master's degree, preferably in economics and/or political science,
  • harbour a keen interest in industrial policy and thrive in unravelling the complexities of international value chains,
  • possess the knack for presenting complex economic policy matters in a clear and understandable manner,
  • showcase exceptional organizational skills and consistently project an authoritative, competent, and professional demeanour, especially when engaging with senior decision makers,
  • communicate fluently in English and preferably German, mastering both written and verbal expression,
  • demonstrate the ability to work independently and collaboratively, proficiently navigating office applications, research tools, and time management and
  • thrive on frequent travels across Europe, with a special affinity for Brussels, as part of your dynamic role.
