The world keeps changing constantly as well does the world of transportation. At Daimler Truck we develop tomorrow's mobility in cross-functional teams. You may become part of this process. Our department is attached to the global Engineering organization focusing on global product management for SW & EE. Overall, this posting has to support the team/project lead for active safety systems & automation.
We are looking for team players with an open and customer-oriented mindset, to join and support us driving the global projects across several brands, functions and locations of our international Daimler Truck organization with affiliates in US, Japan, India and Germany.
Challenges:
- Supporting our global project teams, communicating frequently with colleagues from USA, India, etc. as well as cross-functional representatives (Engineering, Purchasing, Production, Product Planning, etc.)
- Collaborate within project environment focusing on future oriented technical scope such as Active Safety and Automation in order to take the project to the next technical level
- Introduction of Visual Management (system-based reporting standards) as well as documentation and organization of global communication (overall planning, global workshops, etc.)
- Application and enhancement of global project management standards
- Support coordinating global project leads across the regions
- Support preparation and management of international workshops and management meetings
- Prepare and align presentation/decision documents for top management committees
- Follow-up on tasks of regular team meetings and workshops
- Bachelor degree or Master Degree in either technical field or business with strong interest in technical field required
- Experience in cross-functional collaboration (Engineering, Product Strategy, Purchasing, Controlling or Product Management)
- Experience in strategic projects
- (Experience in leading intercultural and cross functional teams preferred)
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to create a network within the overall Daimler organization required
- Strong presentation and oral/written communication skills required
- Strong facilitation skills and project management skills required
- Ability to work independently and have a proactive mindset required
- Ability to operate in a complex environment with ambiguity and ongoing change required
- English proficiency and German language skills required
- MS Office, esp. Excel and PowerPoint skills required
