IT Demand Manager (f/m/d)


  • Per assignment to Groups/Divi­sions/Func­tions acting as primary IT contact in the global IT organi­za­tion for all related IT topics
  • Fostering dialog with the business to im­prove IT support for trans­for­ma­tions and up­com­ing changes
  • Providing overall direc­tion, gui­dance and defi­ni­tion of IT archi­tec­ture to effectively support busi­ness stra­te­gy
  • Striving to understand business chall­en­ges, customer prio­ri­ties and compe­ti­tive issues
  • Enabling the busi­ness to achieve its objec­tives through the effec­tive use of techno­logy
  • Consulting and leve­ra­ging exis­ting solu­tions
  • Maint­ain­ing the demand pipe­line and act as pri­mary partner for the busi­ness func­tions to cap­ture, struc­ture, align and plan busi­ness demand and match this demand with the IT supply func­tions' capa­city.
  • Adhering to the IT demand process and captu­ring and prio­ri­ti­za­tion of the demand towards IT and regular align­ment and priori­tization of de­mand.
  • Developing and main­tai­ning strong and produc­tive relation­ships with busi­ness leaders asso­cia­ted to a parti­cu­lar group/division or line of service using a variety of methods.
  • Conducting needs analy­sis, organi­za­tio­nal rea­di­ness assess­ments, and impact analysis on busi­ness reque­sts to identify oppor­tuni­ties to link programs, proce­sses, and systems through­out the organi­zation to achieve optimal efficiency.
  • Collaborating closely with Capacity Manage­ment and ensuring that the service provi­der provides suffi­cient capa­city to meet demand.
  • Understanding the need for thorough demand eva­lu­a­tion and its conse­quen­ces of follow-on pro­jects.
  • Collaborating with other IT Business Partners to develop stra­te­gies to align business groups where appro­pria­te.
  • Facilitating regular com­muni­cation channels and forums to align on planned activities in the day-to-day ope­ra­tions bet­ween busi­ness units and IT Services, as well as reviews on IT per­for­mance and inci­dents.
  • Contributing to establish proce­dures, and over­sight manage­ment model required to ensure optimum demand collec­tion, trans­lation and fore­cas­ting of IT demand.
  • Managing, leading and coaching new business requests, changes and opti­mi­za­tion to the current Business Appli­cation Land­scape, in respect to global Bruker IT policies.
  • Maintaining demand port­folio in colla­bo­ra­tion with other Bruker IT team members.
  • Conducting regular reports on Demand Manage­ment KPIs.

  • University degree in Business Adminis­tra­tion, Computer Sciences or compa­ra­ble quali­fi­ca­tion
  • Experienced leader with very good social/colla­bo­ra­tion skills and ex­pe­rience in matrix organi­zation
  • Experience as demand manager for any IT related topics (at least 3 years)
  • English language (C1) and German language (C2)
  • Other langua­ges nice to have (e.g. French)
  • Alternatively, expe­rie­nce as a pro­ject team member, parti­cul­arly for imple­men­tation of Business Appli­cations and on large scale IT/Business projects
  • Customer focus and service manage­ment atti­tude with a problem-solving atti­tude
  • Team-oriented colla­bo­ration and good communi­cation and presen­ta­tion skills
  • Effective at inter­ac­ting with IT staff, Business Staff and Senior Manage­ment
  • Knowledge of ERP functionality
  • Solid technical IT know how across ERP, Subsystems (e.g. CRM), Hardware, Software, Network etc.
  • Good under­standing on infor­mation secu­rity and data privacy aspects and impacts of cloud appli­ca­tions

  • Experience with different cultures in Europe, North America and Asia
  • Validation Experience
