As a member of the team, you will be responsible for the strategic sourcing of direct materials and manufacturing services for all our locations in Europe while we grow our business in Electrification. You will have the opportunity to use your expertise as a buyer in both project and series business, while driving the further development of our purchasing strategies.
- Working closely with engineering and plants, you will play a key role in acquiring new business with competitive cost definition.
- You prepare professional tenders, evaluate offers, develop well-founded decision-making bases and recommendations and proactively point out more cost-effective alternatives.
- Through your professional negotiation skills, you succeed in achieving the best conditions – without compromising on quality and delivery reliability.
- You analyze the needs of the plants, identify suitable suppliers and know how to optimally utilize synergies through the sensible bundling and coordination of purchasing activities.
- Ensuring quality, cost, and deadline compliance is our top priority, while strengthening the business relationship with our key suppliers.
- That is why active supplier management, risk management, sustainability, supplier visits and the development of suppliers are permanent items on your agenda.
- Degree in industrial engineering or economics, complemented by very good technical understanding
- Excellent communication skills with international colleagues and suppliers – business fluent in German and English, both written and verbal
- More than 3 years of experience of purchasing in automotive, handling direct materials, i.e., components and manufacturing services
- Experienced in cost analysis, contract law/design, negotiation techniques and project management
- Highly independent, motivated and flexible to handle a variety of tasks and projects at the same time
