We are seeking a highly qualified candidate to fill the position:

Commercial Excellence Director (m/f/x)

The position:
We are looking for a high-level contributor able to manage pan-European projects, requiring cross-functional and geographical collaboration to join our European Headquarter, Daiichi Sankyo Europe GmbH.
You will also be key in supporting the Commercial Operations department in the European Headquarter in sales force effectiveness analysis, correlating sales and field activities data and providing recommendations. The role will also propose innovative data usage strategies and use cases for customer-focused actions development.
In this role you will play a pivotal role in supporting the harmonization of KPIs across Daiichi Sankyo Europe departments and its Affiliates, strengthening our cross-functional data-driven decision-making processes and enhancing overall performance monitoring and reporting.


  • Run sales force and channel effectiveness analysis, continuously evaluating go-to-market strategies and business models to suggest how to maximize commercial execution and competitiveness
  • Develop and implement a robust European system for monitoring and analyzing KPIs related to field activities with customers
  • Foster strong collaboration with various departments (Commercial Operations, Medical, Digital, Market Access) and Affiliates, strengthening also the European commercial excellence community
  • Promoting a unified European approach to performance analysis standardizing and harmonizing KPIs, improving the segmentation and targeting of customers, sharing best practices and learnings, ensuring consistency and alignment with overall business objectives
  • Correlate activities data with sales metrics and other performance indicators to identify trends, opportunities and areas for improvement
  • Bridging the omnichannel campaigns and content utilization with customer engagement results and sales performance, providing input to the interested stakeholders both at Daiichi Sankyo Europe and its Affiliates
  • Proving guidance to supporting functions (ex. IT, Customer Engagement Solutions etc.) on business needs
  • Support the development of the European Specialty Business Unit CX dashboard and other reports and dashboards in close collaboration with the BI team
  • Independently leads high profile projects

  • Master's degree in business management, economics or related field; alternatively, an adequate qualification with relevant experience might be considered
  • 8+ years of experience in pharmaceutical environment, with a solid understanding of principles relating to area of specialization in the European region
  • Strong experience in commercial excellence, sales force and channel effectiveness
  • Excellent analytical and data interpretation skills, with familiarity in data visualization solutions and tools (PowerBI preferred)
  • Demonstrated ability to steer projects in a cross-functional environment, ideally across geographies
  • Strong interpersonal abilities, ability to influence broad range of internal stakeholders throughout organization
  • Proven superior planning & project management skills, routinely anticipates and plans for alternative/unlikely scenarios
  • Excellent written and verbal communication in English, additional western European languages are a plus
