For our Production Site in Hilden we are currently looking for a

Site Manager (m/f/d)

AkzoNobel is seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Site Manager to lead our manufacturing operations in Hilden, Germany. In this critical role, you will play a central role in ensuring the smooth operation of the site, delivering products at the agreed quality, service and cost levels, and fostering a safe and productive work environment.


  • Plans, leads, organizes and controls the delivery of the site's contribution to business objectives and overall performance and provides insights regarding developments based on analysis
  • Establishes, achieves, enforces and continuously improves the performance levels for the site
  • Implements and operates the common HSE platform and identifies and respond effectively to hazards in HSE and security
  • Coaches, mentors and develops the site management team members to build a strong and collaborative team in a supportive work environment
  • Establishes a culture of functional and operational excellence, continuous improvement and accountability, professionalism and commitment to company values and behaviours
  • Networks with other site managers/ stakeholders inside and outside of AkzoNobel to develop and share knowledge, experience, leverage best practice and exchange of / and building talents
  • Point of contact for internal and external audits

  • University degree in engineering or equivalent
  • Proven track record of success in managing production operations
  • Excellent communication skills in both German and English
  • A proven ability to lead, motivate and deliver results in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience managing relationships with labour unions
