Unit description
BTO will drive security of supply, energy transition, organizational and financial health through digital, data and analytics. BTO will secure solid foundations through seamless end-user services (UX), industry-leading cybersecurity setup and resilient data centers and cloud infrastructure. BTO will have consistent business/BTO alignment, strategic partnerships with vendors and clear standards on architecture, vendor & portfolio management and security. BTO will unlock value of data and digital by building all the necessary enablers (incl. data platform, data governance processes, capabilities) and embedding innovation initiatives into business roadmaps.TenneT is growing fast to realize its strategic ambitions. We play a leading role in driving the energy transition. We are looking for a passionate Data Scientist (m/w/d) at our location Bayreuth, Dachau or Lehrte, who will contribute to this. As a data scientist, you will support the Digital and Data department on AI driven solutions, working in close collaboration with data engineers and other technology experts, supporting business in TenneT's core functions such as System Operations and Asset Management achieving its goals. As an expert on machine learning algorithms and integration of AI into data driven solutions, you will facilitate the energy transition as follows:
- Develop and train machine learning models to solve complex business problems and improve user experiences.
- Design, build, and maintain scalable and efficient data pipelines to support machine learning workflows.
- Conduct integration tests and usability studies
- Provide technical guidance and support towards team members and users.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including data scientists, business experts, and product owners to drive project success.
- Ensure code quality, reliability, and scalability through best practices in software engineering.
- Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field. Experience with publicly funded research projects is a plus.
- Pragmatic Team Player attitude in an agile environment. Proven hands-on experience with machine learning solutions to solve real-world problems
- Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, cloud infrastructure and containerization
- Strong proficiency in Python programming language for data analysis, model development, and software engineering
- Familiarity with Microsoft Excel and VBA scripting for data analysis and automation.
- Good communication skills in German and English
