As Product Owner for Brainlab Cranial Navigation products, you will make an impact on the world's leading medical applications for cranial surgery! You will be part of an international, multidisciplinary and highly skilled team developing solutions for a wide range of clinical procedures like cranial tumor resection, CMF (Craniomaxillofacial) and ENT (Ear Nose Throat).

Working within the agile Large Scale Scrum (LeSS) framework, you will be in close interaction with our Product Managers and R&D, responsible for prioritizing and clarifying our development pipeline. With your strong moderation & conflict management skills, you will moderate synergetic and conflicting requirements of our broad portfolio and propose as well as challenge priorities. With support from R&D Subject Matter Experts and Product Managers you are breaking down top level customer requirements into development packages & deliverables, maximizing the outcome of our powerful development teams.

Your tasks include:

  • Product Vision: Communicate and facilitate the creation of the product vision together with Product Managers, stakeholders and experts
  • R&D Roadmap: Translating conflicting requirements & priorities into synergetic features and R&D developments. Prioritize and maintain the Cranial product backlog. Trigger and catalyze clarification on priorities, ensuring the backlog reflects the most valuable features and enhancements for the product in alignment with the overall business strategy, customer and technical requirements and regulatory compliance. Create/ facilitate transparency & clarity on current progress via backlog
  • Stakeholder Management: Interact with cranial and other R&D teams, cranial Agile Coaches, product management and Neuro-, ENT, and CMF surgeons, facilitating communication and alignment.
  • Trigger continuous improvement by demanding feedback and monitoring the product performance in the market.

  • 5+ years of experience in the medical device industry or other highly regulated environment
  • 5+ years of experience as Product Owner for multiple feature teams
  • Strong motivation for understanding R&D and product management requirements
  • Very good moderation & conflict management skills for aligning and prioritizing conflicting or overlapping requirements
  • Ability to derive own product vision in alignment with customer needs and business value
  • A deeply analytical mindset and creativity to develop extraordinary solutions
  • Experience with scaled agile development concepts like SAFE or LeSS
  • Well-organized and clearly structured, agile working style
  • Exceptional communication & documentation skills
  • Clinical knowledge in areas of cranial procedures is a plus
  • Fluent in written and spoken English and German
