The Global Procurement Daimler Truck division is responsible for the global purchasing volume of the world's largest commercial vehicle manufacturer, including the brands Mercedes-Benz, Freightliner, Fuso and Bharat Benz. With our purchasing locations in Germany, USA, Japan, India, Brazil as well as purchasing offices in other emerging markets, such as China and Korea, we are a global player. In the “Strategy & Governance” department of our purchasing organization, we are looking for you to join the team to support awardings with game theoretic methods.

Your tasks in more detail:

  • Supporting the purchasing departments in the application of game theoretic methods in specific procurement projects
  • Supporting the development of game theoretic methods, processes and IT tools for procurement, their implementation and roll-out
  • Organization and participation in interdisciplinary workshops
  • Preparation and support in the implementation of training and campaign events

  • You study in the fields of business administration, industrial engineering, mathematics or comparable studies with focus on economics
  • You have knowledge of game and auction theory, its methods and application
  • You are experienced in MS-Office (Power Point, Excel, Word, TEAMs)
  • You have strong communication and teamwork skills
  • You possess good negotiation skills and a professional and results-oriented appearance
  • You speak German and English
Please note that your internship at this location must be mandatory for at least 4 weeks.
