  • Coordinate the activities of the tax department and act as a contact person for internal and external parties
  • Prepare fiscal year closing activities for Germany and all European countries
  • Coordinate the activities of the tax department to render quality tax services to clients and ensure the external tax compliance in respect of VAT and all other tax matters of the company
  • Ensure tax compliance (incl. SOX) and ensure the internal and external tax regulations for the headquarter, branches and all subsidiaries
  • Support other finance teams in all aspects of group taxes and tax cash planning (including tax calculation, accounting instructions, monitoring of tax accounts)
  • Prepare all tax payments for VAT and corporation tax
  • Support and monitor all tax audits (VAT/Corp./customs/WHT) in Germany as well abroad together with external consultants
  • Assess cross-border transactions within the European Union and third countries and review manual onward debits
  • Support legislative changes and necessary adjustments, such as creation of SAP change requests and test acceptances

  • Academic degree in business administration (preferably with a focus on finance) or comparable qualification
  • 5 years of experience in a corporate tax function or tax consulting
  • Profound knowledge of German and international tax law, particularly of VAT and corporate tax
  • Strong analytical skills and conceptual thinking, independent and proactive way of working
  • Profound knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel
  • Experience with SAP (S4 HANA) preferable
  • Fluent in English, conversational in German
