Compliance and Data Privacy Officer (m/f/d) The PIMCO Prime Real Estate GmbH («PPRE») Compliance and Data Privacy Officer (m/f/d) is to support the PPRE Global Chief Compliance Officer and Data Privacy Officer with applicable compliance, data privacy and regulatory matters. This position will be based in Munich, Frankfurt or Stuttgart. This position requires a professional with diplomatic and analytical skills who can flourish in a challenging, fast-paced, and professional environment with frequent shifts in priorities as business needs dictate. Location 60325 Frankfurt, 70182 Stuttgart, 80335 München Job Level Professional Job-ID 32259 Responsibilities The PPRE Compliance and Data Privacy Officer (m/f/d) is responsible for compliance and data privacy matters in relation to PRE's real estate advisory, investment and management activities globally. The primary responsibilities include: Support the PPRE Global Chief Compliance Officer in relation to the coordination and execution of global compliance activities in accordance with PPRE's global compliance policies, including: Perform Anti-Financial Crime due diligence in relation to investors, sellers and buyers of real estate assets and other business partners Conduct MNPI checks, administer information barriers, maintain restricted lists Gifts & Entertainment Development and execution of marketing, communication and social media policies Conflicts of Interest Information Security, records and document retention Perform all data privacy activities in relation to PPRE's business, including: Monitor developments of applicable data privacy laws and regulations as well as of PPRE's business activities Maintain and develop PPRE's data processing activities register, perform risk assessments and PIAs Review and negotiate data privacy provisions in contracts to which PPRE or its affiliates are party Advise business in relation to new initiatives, e.g. implementation of smart IT solutions in the buildings managed by PPRE Respond to and manage data privacy incidents Report to PPRE's shareholders in relation to data privacy matters Coordinate data privacy activities also in non-European countries, with the support of external counsel, where needed Be point of contact for local PPRE Compliance Officers Perform administrative duties including maintaining an effective documentation and filing system Develop and provide data privacy and compliance trainings Professional skills requirements Have a strong sense of integrity, behaving consistently with expressed values and ethical principles of PPRE Service-oriented; the ability to balance regulatory and policy standards along with a business perspective Willingness to take ownership and responsibility, e.g. by becoming registered Data Privacy Officer of PPRE GmbH and/or affiliates A highly motivated self-starter with the willingness to «roll up your sleeves» and the ability to drive change Exceptional organizational skills; the ability to effectively prioritize tasks, follow up, produce consistently accurate work, and meet strict deadlines Highly flexible, multi-task oriented: capable of rapidly changing directions based on business demands Consensus builder and team player with the ability to work well within a matrix organization A good sense of humor Qualifications 3 to 10 years of relevant working experience in compliance and data privacy, preferably with financial industry and/or real estate investment background University degree, preferably a law degree Expert knowledge of European data privacy regulatory (GDPR and implementation acts); good understanding of international data privacy laws is an asset.
