Our Market Analysis Power and Renewables team in Düsseldorf is looking for you!

  • Responsible for Uniper's strategic mid- to long-term modeling of flexibility in the power markets
  • Enhancing the existing pan-European fundamental power market model to capture, calibrate and forecast quarter-hourly power prices (day-ahead, intraday and reserve markets) until 2050
  • Coordinate the development of additional model capabilities incl. data requirements in close collaboration with the respective market and data experts
  • Review and assess external analysis (e.g. from consultants, think tanks, etc.) and help to refine Uniper's view on fundamental drivers, flexibility, regulatory changes, etc.
  • Responsible for the balance between administration, operation, and new development of analytical tools, market models and data feeds within the long-term flexibility context
  • Be opinionated, create and support new business ideas to drive change and commercial success. Confidently present and communicate insights as a subject-matter expert to a wide range of stakeholders across all hierarchical levels within Uniper
  • Ensure effective relationships with peer analysts and stakeholders across multiple teams to guarantee optimal cooperation, information flow, and to support decision making

  • Excellent education in the field of Engineering, Economics, Business Administration, Mathematics or similar
  • Several years relevant experience and in depth understanding in the field of fundamental market analysis and modeling related to European power markets required
  • Track record in the development and enhancement of market models, including the handling and processing of large amounts of data
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills with a strong solution orientation
  • Superior communication, interpersonal and presentation skills to effectively work in an international and diverse environment
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team and under time pressure, stay focused in changing environments and adapt to stakeholder requirements
  • Fluent English (written and spoken) required, knowledge of additional languages (German, Swedish etc.) a plus
