As a Sales Manager, you are expected to drive growth within your region and build long-term partnerships with distributors and retailers. You will identify and act upon opportunities within new and existing accounts, optimizing these relationships to maximize performance and growth, ensuring Aarke maintains and delivers on promises.

Key responsibilities:

  • Being accountable for budget, forecast, revenue, and profitability goals.
  • Implementing and adapting the global strategy for the region and regional retail accounts.
  • Managing both online and offline sales channels for retailers and tracking their performance.
  • Leading local retail marketing activities and collaborating with the Brand & Marketing team for overall brand success.
  • Driving product launches and go-to-market plans in the DACH region.
  • Measuring and analyzing business metrics to track performance.
  • Staying updated on industry trends and best practices.

You will report to the Head of Wholesales.


To excel as a Sales Manager, we believe that you have a strong commercial drive, are goal-oriented, and have the courage to stretch beyond boundaries. You have experience working with large accounts in the DACH region, focusing on developing robust relationships, driving account success, and building a strong brand.
Given that Aarke is on a growth journey, we believe that you thrive in a scale-up environment and are passionate about expanding the business. You will work closely with your teammates and other departments, so strong communication and collaboration skills are essential. Additionally, you are a team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment, is flexible and adaptable, with strong problem-solving skills. Being data-driven is crucial to this role, as you'll need to make informed decisions based on key metrics and performance data.
This role requires a considerable amount of travel within the DACH region, which the right candidate needs to find enjoyable. We believe you are either based in Germany or live in Stockholm. Regardless of your location, you must be fully fluent in German, both spoken and written. You also need to be comfortable speaking and writing in English.

Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, e.g. marketing or management.
  • Experience working with large accounts in the DACH region.
  • Account management experience with a top-tier/premium brand.
  • Deep understanding of sales processes and dynamics, with the ability to drive sales growth.
  • Experience in driving retail campaigns with a focus on commercial ROI and brand success.
  • Proven experience in forecasting and inventory management.
  • Strategic understanding and the ability to implement commercial strategies, customer segmentation, and optimize the portfolio mix.
  • Strong negotiation skills, and experience in working with distributors and large retail accounts.
  • Native speaker or fully fluent in both spoken and written German, with excellent communication skills in both written and spoken English.
