This role is located at our S+N Academy in Munich, which forms part of our worldwide network of Medical Education Centers. At our S+N Academy we give our customers, e.g. surgeons and other healthcare professionals, the opportunity to learn more about our newest products. The events will for instance offer the chance to practically or virtually test a new procedure for hip or knee replacements. As Audio Visual Technical Specialist you will be part of our global Audio-Visual Services Team and be responsible for the local design and implementation when it comes to e.g. supporting scheduled lab events or maintenance of the augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) gaming spaces. With your knowledge and understanding of audio-visual (AV) troubleshooting and video production you will help us to deliver a unique S+N customer experience.


  • IT Technical Support: Basic desktop service support on local computer systems. Coordinate support and troubleshoot challenges related to IT Infrastructure impacting the site. General IT specialist support requirements are in scope.

  • Operational Support: AV system management & live event support. Preventative maintenance checks on all AV systems in on site. Recommend hardware refresh/repair/replacement needs for the site. Coordinate IT infrastructure support when/where required to resolve AV system challenges. Manage AV system inventory and rental equipment. Manage local AV system installations, relocations, decommissioning and/or disposal.

  • Project Management: Consult, design, support and deliver the AV systems for the MedEd Academy, as well as assist with the design and implementation plans for global AV projects.

  • Video Studio Management: Maintain and manage video studio and video production accessories. Ensure production teams have secure access to the facility and equipment as needed. Responsible for the check-out and delivery of any technologies required for filming, editing or production. Ensuring this studio is operated with high level attention and care.


  • Education: Degree in Video Production or similar background (e.g. Media Technology, IT / Audio-Visual Systems, System Administration)

  • Min. 3 years of experience of working in an IT support environment including experience leading AV project implementations

  • Experience of managing and supporting complex and global audio-visual services (e.g. Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality)

  • Beneficial: Experience in development and delivery of video production

  • Competences: Strong service mindset, pro-activity and ability to work as part of a team with minimal supervision

  • Excellent time management and planning skills

  • Flexibility to sometimes work outside standard office hours (evenings, Saturdays)

  • Solid German and English language knowledge (written and spoken)
