For our Accounting department, at our location in Cologne, we are looking for a


ESG Reporting Specialist (m/f/d)


  • Establishment and development of ESG (Environmental Social Governance) reporting in accordance with CSRD and EU taxonomy
  • Adding sustainability aspects in all areas of the organization (accounting reporting, controlling & performance management, risk management & ICS)
  • Defining and tracking sustainability indicators
  • Dashboards design for management and development & maintenance of data collection processes for sustainability reporting
  • Taking over the monitoring of data and the preparation of deviation analyses to derive recommendations for action to identify, prioritise and control measures
  • Coordination and implementation of CO2 accounting (CCF and PCF)
  • Supporting the business departments and operational units in data procurement and data preparation
  • Implementation of requirements from the EU Taxonomy Regulation and the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) through regulatory developments
  • Coordination of the external, global audit through the external auditor
  • Close cooperation/coordination with the technical, product teams

  • Successfully completed studies in economics or a comparable degree program, ideally with a focus on controlling, finance & accounting or CSR, sustainability or sustainable finance
  • Knowledge of the relevant regulatory framework (CSRD, IFRS S1, IFRS S2, ISSB publications, etc.) as well as the basic frameworks, including the Global Compact, ESG ratings and reporting standards
  • Several years of experience in finance (business analytics, accounting), ideally experience in the implementation of ESG reporting standards
  • Strong interest in environmental and sustainability management
  • Experience with sustainability reporting or ESG regulations such as the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), EU taxonomy and/or Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) desirable
  • Sustainability Auditor IDW certification a plus
  • Independent, structured and results-oriented way of working
  • Hands-on approach to work
  • Experience with SAP is a plus
  • Very good written and spoken English skills
  • Very good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel) and experience with BI tools
