To support our growing reservoir development team at Karlsruhe, Germany we are looking for a Senior Development Geophysicist (m/w/d), or similar to fill a full-time position (40h), unlimited contract.
Your mission
- You will conduct independently 2D and 3D seismic interpretations of onshore data, mostly but not exclusively on field scale.
- You will validate seismic interpretations by the means of structural geologic validation techniques and integrate those into regional geodynamic frameworks.
- You will calibrate seismic data based on checkshot, VSP, and/or acoustic logging data.
- You will design and execute seismic attribute studies.
- You will build 3D velocity models based on 3D seismic velocities calibrated to well velocity data.
- You will plan deviated wells and will support related drilling operations.
- You will build static 3D structural models based on seismic interpretations and well-data.
- You have a bachelor's degree or equivalent in a Geosciences/Applied Geosciences field.
- You can look back on 10 years' experience in all aspects of seismic interpretation.
- You have monimum 5 years' experience with an operating E&P company as seismic interpreter/structural geologist.
- You bring strong technical skills and knowledge of the geophysical and geologic side of seismic interpretation.
- You have an understanding of seismic processing QC and contractor monitoring.
- Experience in technical coaching of junior staff and Leadership experience considered an advantage
- Flexible working hours as well as possibility for mobile working.
